Oh Look, Krill!

Oh don't worry. Whales don't eat clownfish, they eat krill.

My Facial Routine (Why It Takes Me Forever To Get Ready)

I had acne through my teenage years and right up to my late twenties, so I get a little more particular about my face than most people. It takes me about an hour just to deal with my face when I get ready in the morning. I don’t know about anyone else but to me, that’s the norm.

Here’s my face routine in the morning:

1. I swipe on the toner.

2. Slap on the pre-treatment serum.

3. Moisturise.

4. Slap on the sun block.

During this time I usually have my breakfast and then I start on my make up. This is just to allow the moisturiser to settle, so that my make up won’t slide off over the course of the day. Or something like that.

High School Realisations

Attending the high school reunion over the weekend, and I came to a few realisations.

1. High school makes you revert to that person you are back then, no matter how old you get.

2. People seem to look at you side-eyed when you turn up with your partner and you tell them you’re not married yet (I don’t understand this at all).

3. Despite all the gung-ho-ness of the organising committee, the food sucked. I wonder if they even had tasting sessions at all.

4. Everyone seems to gather back into their old cliques.

5. No matter how many years have passed, the high school productions are always of the same quality.

6. The school band still sucked as much as it did when I was a band member.

7. Having Dude with me was the best thing I could have done since he kept me entertained through out the entire event that I barely realised how boring the entire thing was.

8. The 15 years after high school wasn’t kind to anyone.

9. I don’t have an emotional attachment to any educational institution, just the select few people I met there.

10. I really didn’t care what these people I went to school with, think of me.

Mid afternoon break

I was hungry and I wanted coffee. So I walked out to the nearest coffee place with decaf, since the caf├ęs near the office do not carry decaf.

It started to rain when I arrived so I had a bagel to go with my coffee.

I should get back soon since I need to keep my samples into the fridge.

Good thing I have an umbrella.
