I’m not much of a gamer, compared to some of my friends. I’m a casual gamer at best. It took me months and months of debating and researching of the different handheld consoles before I said, screw it, I’m just going to get it.
So I finally bought myself a Nintendo DS Lite a year ago, almost to the day. And then, there were the games.
In the year that I’ve been ‘gaming’, I’ve left behind more than a few half finished games that I just lost interest along the way. They either got too tedious, like in the case of Diner Dash and Pokemon Diamond. It just got too long and after a while, something else catches my attention.
It’s not that I didn’t enjoy playing the games; I did, very much so. However, trying to beat the second boss fight in Spirit Tracks was so annoying that I never got around to finishing it when school started early this year. As for Pokemon HG, let just say that the emotional upheaval that occurred in my personal life left me with no mood what so ever to pick it up again to play. At least for the moment.
Of course, this is not to say that I NEVER finished any of my games because I do. Out of the stack of games that I played, I only managed to complete all the levels in LEGO Batman and LEGO Star Wars Complete Saga
The games are fun and the characters are just so cute. I didn’t finish the whole thing in one sitting of course. It took me a few months as I didn’t have that much time to play and most days, I prefer to read during my commute to work. It took me a while but I finished both of them, cementing my love for LEGO games like those.
I still have LEGO Indian Jones in my half-played pile, which I’ll get around to finishing. Some day.
In the mean time, I’m replaying Lego Batman and waiting impatiently for the release of LEGO Harry Potter Years 1-4.
