Self plugging at it’s best.
There are a few things that I can’t live without other than the essential stuff, my books, my music, lip balm and most importantly, laptop. One of the first few things I do when I get home is to turn on my laptop, a habit that I got into when I was in uni because the internet was my only connection to the outside world when we didn’t have a tv in the flat.
I’ve come to be rather dependent on my laptop because that’s where I do all my creative writing, where all my songs are and where I keep my photos. My laptop becomes especially important during the month of November when I participate in the NaNoWriMo. I bring out with me to the write-ins on the weekend and I pound away on it until late at night to get my word count up. Basically, it’s become part of my life and if I lose it, it will be like losing a part of me. So security is very important.
I’m really stoked to get a copy of Bak2U’s Verey PC. If, by what ever luck, my laptop gets stolen, and the thief goes online, I’ll be emailed the IP address, Wireless Network, MAC address and also Machine Serial Number. Is that cool or what? With this, at least there’s a higher chance of getting my laptop back.
Sidenote: I have the Verey I for (my) Mac but I haven’t installed it yet (because I don’t know how to). Anyone can help?
