Oh Look, Krill!

Oh don't worry. Whales don't eat clownfish, they eat krill.

Distance Makes The Heart…. Something

One of the hardest thing to go through, is maintaining long distance relationships; especially if they’re gone for years, spending only a few weeks here and there with you. You need a lot of trust, understanding strength (both mental and emotional) and good communication. Even then, there will always be problems due to the fact that we’re all human. Tears, heartache, anger and all those other emotions are just part and parcel of a long distance relationship; and I have every single part of it.

However, the time spent together, no matter how short, makes the separation and the wait worth it. Life is more colourful, sweeter and better when they’re around. It makes you savour and enjoy every minute you spend together like no other. You don’t take your partner’s presence for granted and you appreciate them even more.

I was told that I should be used to the separation by now but I can tell you that you NEVER get used to it, no matter how many times he comes back, he still has to go away again and it makes my heartache every single time. I have separation anxiety issues that can only be cured when he’s back here for good.

The boy left last night and as usual, there were tears though this time it wasn’t as bad as those previous ones. He’ll be back in two months and I can’t wait. Please let the time fly pass.
