The Significant Other left this morning and has arrived at his destination safely. I’m very proud of myself that I could say good bye with dignity, that is as much dignity as one can with a red nose and red, tear-filled eyes. Of course, most of the tears were shed yesterday. He made it easy to compose myself too, with only a small hug and some pats on the shoulder. If he’d actually given me the bear hug I wanted, I think I would have flooded the airport.
Anyway, he’s safe and healthy, and that is all that matters. The count down for his return has begun.
